The UWA Asia Centre, in partnership with the West Australian Indian Film Council (WAIFC), is pleased to invite you to an exclusive industry engagement roundtable bringing together leaders from the screen, creative, business and government sectors to explore new opportunities between Western Australia and India.
The roundtable will feature a special conversation with Mitu Bhowmick Lange AM, one of Australia's foremost advocates for Indian cinema and international screen collaboration. Through her pioneering work in film distribution, festivals and cultural engagement, she has played a significant role in strengthening creative and industry connections between Australia and India.
The discussion will also be joined by Ms Kajari Biswas, Consul-General of India, whose participation reflects the growing importance of screen, culture and creative industries within the broader India–Western Australia relationship.
Bringing together producers, directors, actors, screen practitioners, distributors, investors, creative industry leaders and government stakeholders, the roundtable will explore opportunities in co-production, distribution, festivals, talent exchange, screen investment and cultural diplomacy, while positioning Western Australia as a growing partner for engagement with India's dynamic screen sector.
