1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the WAIFC website at waifc.org.au and any related pages, content, event information and services we make available (together, the "Site"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site.

2. About Us

The Site is operated by the WESTERN AUSTRALIAN INDIAN FILM COUNCIL LTD  (ACN 699 226 401) ("WAIFC", "we", "us" or "our"), a not-for-profit industry council with its principal place of business at 21 Simpson St, West Perth WA 6005, Australia. WAIFC is an independent Western Australian not-for-profit. It is not a government agency, film funding body or national peak body and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Australia India Film Council Ltd.

3. Using Our Site

You may use the Site for lawful purposes only and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, or restrict or inhibit the use and enjoyment of the Site by, any other person. The Site is provided for general information about WAIFC and its activities, events and partners.

We may update, change, suspend or withdraw all or any part of the Site at any time without notice. We do not guarantee that the Site, or any content on it, will always be available or uninterrupted.

You are responsible for ensuring that all persons who access the Site through your internet connection are aware of these Terms and comply with them.

If you are provided with, or choose, any login details or credentials as part of our security procedures, you must treat that information as confidential and must not disclose it to any third party.

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use and protect your personal information. By using the Site you consent to the handling of your information as described in that policy.

4. Acceptable Use

When using the Site, you agree that you will not:

  • Use the Site in any way that breaches any applicable local, national or international law or regulation.

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, the server on which it is stored, or any server, computer or database connected to it.
  • Reproduce, duplicate, copy, resell or exploit any part of the Site for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

We reserve the right to restrict or withdraw your access to the Site if, in our reasonable opinion, you breach any part of these Terms.

5. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, website content is owned by WAIFC or used with the permission of the relevant rights holder. These works are protected by copyright and other laws around the world. All such rights are reserved.

You may print off one copy, and may download extracts, of any page from the Site for your own personal, non-commercial reference. You must not use any part of the content on the Site for commercial purposes, or modify or reproduce the WAIFC name, logo or branding, without a licence or our prior written permission.

6. Events, RSVPs and Registrations

Where the Site allows you to register interest in, RSVP to, or request a place at a WAIFC event:

  • Registering or submitting an RSVP is an expression of interest and does not guarantee admission, a seat or attendance at any event, which remains subject to capacity, eligibility and our confirmation.
  • We may need to change the date, time, venue, programme or speakers of an event, or cancel or postpone an event, and we will use reasonable efforts to notify registered attendees of any material change.

Any information you provide when registering for an event must be accurate and complete, and will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

7. Third-Party Links and Content

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, resources, sponsors or partners. These links are provided for your information only and do not mean that we endorse those websites or the content available on them.

We have no control over the content of third-party websites or resources, and accept no responsibility for them or for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them. Any dealings you have with a third party are solely between you and that third party.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia. You agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia.
